Karla Marx, the First Comrade of Your Heart, is Calgary’s Most Naked Drag Queen! Karla is the mother of the Marx Werk Ware Haus, a board member of Cabaret Calgary, and performs drag, burlesque, and stand-up comedy across Canada. She recently performed at the Amsterdam Burlesque Festival and previously at the Hollywood Burlesque Festival. Karla was voted Best Host by Imperial Burlesque Canada in 2022, placed second in the Draglesque category, and won Most Comedic Burlesque in 2023. She released her first stand-up comedy album, Well Okay Then in August 2023, available on Spotify and Apple Music. She was featured in Just For Laughs Comedy Showcase in Calgary as well as Comedy Invasion, a comedy TV showcase available on Tubi and Amazon Prime (US).  She was recently accepted into the Alaska B4UDIE Comedy Festival for April 2024, and will host the Kootenay Burlesque Festival in June 2024.
