Calgary is a dynamic city. It’s picturesque prairie landscapes and a vibrant urban centre. It’s entrepreneurial energy and living in the moment. It’s cowboy spirit, but also refined and cosmopolitan. It’s no wonder Calgary was named the most liveable city in North America by The Economist two years in a row!
Calgary brings the laughs as hard as it brings the Western charm. As one of the signature stops on the Great Outdoors Comedy Festival tour, Calgary has become a can’t-miss destination for comedy lovers. Set against a stunning mountain backdrop with that unmistakable Stampede energy, this city serves up world-class performances, local flavour, and unforgettable festival vibes—all in one place. Come for the headliners, stay for the hospitality. Organized by Trixstar LIVE, this festival underscores Calgary’s vibrant arts ecosystem—where laughter, nature, and community spirit converge under the open sky.
The Great Outdoors Community Fund has supported some incredible local Calgary charities, including The Mustard Seed, Accessible Queer Spaces, Easter Seals Camp Horizon, Kids Up Front and the Autism Aspergers Friendship Society of Calgary.

We are committed to Reconciliation and respectfully acknowledge that our festival is situated on the unceded traditional territories of Blackfoot Confederacy (Siksika, Kainai, Piikani), the Tsuut’ina, the Îyâxe Nakoda Nations, the Métis Nation (Region 3), and all people who make their homes in the Treaty 7 region of Southern Alberta. We honour their presence, stewardship and strength in this area since time immemorial. We are grateful to be a guest on this territory.
