Due to the heavy rains, the LeBreton Flats grounds experienced significant pooling making the site unable to accommodate the Great Outdoors Comedy Festival scheduled for Friday, August 9th. Refunds for all tickets purchased through our only online ticketing provider, Tixr, will be issued automatically. No action is required on your end. These refunds including the ticket price, facility fee, and taxes (for all tickets and add-ons) may take up to 6-8 weeks to process. If you purchased tickets from a third-party, you will have to reach out to them directly and it is not in our control. Thank you for your understanding!

With funding from GOCF, the Vanier BIA and its partners, BGC Ottawa and Vanier Community Services Centre, will be hosting French comedy workshops for kids within the drop in VCSC summer camp. They will also be hosting workshops at the McArthur BGCO’s clubhouse with teens, hosted by local comics – designed to help kids find their inner comics, to explore themes and storylines, and just plain have some laughs. » LEARN MORE

Current goals in the works with GOCF funding: (1) Artist in Residence Program for Young BIPOC Artists and Change-makers that can utilize the event spaces within the Community Hub to engage with our communities. (2) Offer inclusive events, workshops and exhibitions for and with marginalized communities. (3) Access to the space for groups that offer accessible programming in the arts and culture space, making programs and classes more accessible to underrepresented communities and people with financial barriers to give everyone the chance to discover new passions and talents. » LEARN MORE
