ROBBY HOFFMAN
Robby Hoffman is an Emmy-winning writer, Emmy-nominated actor, and stand-up comedian whose work spans television, podcasting, and live performance. In 2025, she was named one of Variety’s “10 Comics to Watch” and released her debut Netflix special Robby Hoffman: WAKE UP, directed by John Mulaney, who praised her commanding stage presence. That same year, she starred opposite Michelle Williams in FX’s critically acclaimed limited series Dying for Sex, appeared on Season 4 of HBO’s Hacks—earning an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series and returning for Season 5—and began production on the upcoming HBO series Rooster from Steve Carell and Bill Lawrence. Hoffman is also developing UnEntitled at HBO, a series she is writing, executive producing, and set to star in. Born in Brooklyn and raised in a large family before moving to Montreal, she has been described by The New York Times as a “bulldozing stand-up” in the vein of Larry David, and her Patreon podcast Too Far has been praised as “an addictive listen,” while outlets including The Daily Beast, The Wall Street Journal, and The Hollywood Reporter have hailed her as a distinctive and original comic voice.
