Welcome to Calgary, AB

For the fifth summer in a row, the Great Outdoors Comedy Festival returns to Calgary’s Prince’s Island Park, beautifully-located just north of downtown on the Bow River. Past comedians who’ve bravely dealt with Calgary’s famously dry hands (and the occasional tiny finger cut) include Bill Burr, Tom Segura, Iliza Shlesinger, Theo Von, Andrew Schulz, Bert Kreischer, Adam Ray (as Dr. Phil Live), Russell Peters, Jonathan Van Ness, Nick Offerman, David Spade, and Whitney Cummings. This event is 18+ (no minors) and goes ahead rain or shine.

  • Acknowledging the Treaty 7 Territories

We are committed to Reconciliation and respectfully acknowledge that our festival is situated on the unceded traditional territories of Blackfoot Confederacy (Siksika, Kainai, Piikani), the Tsuut’ina, the Îyâxe Nakoda Nations, the Métis Nation (Region 3), and all people who make their homes in the Treaty 7 region of Southern Alberta. We honour their presence, stewardship and strength in this area since time immemorial. We are grateful to be a guest on this territory.

  • Supporting Local

The 2025 50/50 raised a total jackpot of $26,920 in support of the Calgary Young People’s Theatre!

Through the Great Outdoors Community Fund, 50/50 raffle proceeds from the 2024 festival supported Easter Seals Alberta: Camp Horizon. Past festival proceed recipients have been The Mustard Seed, Accessible Queer Spaces, Kids Up Front and the Autism Aspergers Friendship Society.

  • Powered by Tixr

Tickets and more will be powered by Tixr, the largest, fastest-growing privately-held primary ticketing and event commerce marketplace in the world. Tickets for the Great Outdoors Comedy Festival will only be available online through Tixr. Buying from any third-party sites is at your own risk (ticket transfers are available on your ticketing account).

Getting Here

Prince’s Island Park sits in the middle of the Bow River, just north of downtown Calgary, and is accessible on foot via the Bow River Pathway. There’s no festival parking on the island. Is this our way of saving you money on gas? We’ll never say. But we will tell you that walking, biking, and ride-sharing make efficient, cost-effective options. If you really all-caps MUST drive, parking is available nearby at Eau Claire Market (Barclay Parade SW & 2nd Street SW).
