Pete Lee is a stand-up comedian known for being the first to receive a standing ovation on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, after Fallon saw him perform live in New York City and invited him on the show. Raised in Janesville, Wisconsin, his upbeat, Midwestern humor helped shape his career, which took off after his 2005 TV debut on Comedy Central’s Premium Blend, prompting his move to NYC. He quickly gained recognition, performing at the Just for Laughs Festival and becoming a semi-finalist on Last Comic Standing in 2008, the same year he appeared on As the World Turns and released a Comedy Central half-hour special that built a strong fan base and led to extensive college touring. Expanding into digital media in 2010, he created web content that led to roles on shows like Video on Trial, Top 10’s, and Best Week Ever, as well as a late-night debut on Late Show with David Letterman in 2013. More recently, he has appeared on programs like Greatest Ever, Comedy Knockout, and Roast Battle, hosted a segment for Nickelodeon’s NFL Rush, and starred in the documentary I Need You to Kill.
