When it comes to festivals, Edmonton (Amiskwacîwâskahikan) is basically one long mic drop.
Set in Treaty 6 Territory, it's a city shaped by Indigenous heritage, vibrant arts and culture, and more festivals than weeks in a year (we loosely did the math).
Explore over 160 km of river valley trails, take in the stories of the land, eat extremely well – and laugh yourself silly while you're at it.

The Great Outdoors Comedy Festival is a homegrown gem for Edmonton, turning the city’s stunning river valley into the largest outdoor comedy club in North America. Held annually in Kinsmen Park, this festival has proudly brought world‑class comedians to the heart of our community.
More than just big-name acts, Great Outdoors Comedy Festival is rooted in local culture: supporting Edmonton artists, acknowledging Treaty 6 territory, and reinvesting in local nonprofits. Organized by Trixstar LIVE, this festival underscores Edmonton’s vibrant arts ecosystem—where laughter, nature, and community spirit converge under the open sky.
The Great Outdoors Community Fund has supported some incredible local Edmonton charities, including Boyle Street Community Services, STARS Air Ambulance, YOUCAN Youth Services, Centre for Arts & Music, Common Ground Arts Centre, Rapid Fire Theatre Society and hiregood.

We are committed to Reconciliation and respectfully acknowledge that our festival is situated on Treaty 6 territory, and respects the histories, languages, and cultures of First Nations, Métis, Inuit, and all First Peoples of Canada, whose footsteps have marked these lands for centuries and whose presence continues to enrich our vibrant community. We honour their presence, stewardship and strength in this area since time immemorial. We are grateful to be a guest on this territory.
