The Gas Station Arts Centre is a performing arts venue in the heart of Osborne Village, and for over 40 years it has been a true first stage where artists come to grow. Most of the groups who rent our space are youth-based organizations from across Winnipeg, and young performers from every corner of the city come here to learn, rehearse, and pursue their passion.

Calgary

Calgary Young People's Theatre (CYPT) is a creative, resilient and collaborative society that embraces the artistry and contributions of young people. We provide professional calibre mentor-ship, training and performance opportunities for youth ages 4-. 18. Our extensive year-round programming includes productions, camps, classes, a youth led theatre festival, workshop and new play development. Our mission is to inspire and mentor the next generation of arts creators and enthusiasts by offering brave, creative spaces where young people can express themselves and their ideas.

Funds raised at the Great Outdoors Comedy Festival will be used to support many programs at CYPT including our Bursary program, where families can apply for partial or full bursaries for any of our activities. CYPT believes that financial constraints should not determine someone’s ability to participate, and each year we provide over $20,000.00 in subsidies, with the demand increasing annually.

Vancouver

The Improv Centre is Vancouver’s home for improv, creating unique impactful experiences and welcoming diverse artists and audiences. Since 1981, The Improv
Centre (originally created as the Vancouver TheatreSports League) has been serving up side-splitting, smart, and spontaneous improvised theatre to Metro Vancouver and visitors from around the world. Generations of audiences have filled our seats, laughed together, and witnessed the magic that only live improv can create. As an artist-driven charity, improvisation isn’t just entertainment—it’s a platform for education, inclusion, creativity, and community-building. We keep the art form fresh and evolving through artist development, performance, and outreach.

Funds raised by this raffle will support meaningful programs that keep improvisation accessible, inclusive, and transformative. These include free educational programs for students of diverse backgrounds and experience, scholarships, free classes for secondary students from under-resourced Vancouver schools, community outreach, and initiatives to improve the accessibility of our venue.
